Magnetic field data
The geomagnetic data can be downloaded via the FDSN web service hosted on the Earthquakes Canada website. Waveform data and/or station metadata from network can be retrieved via FDSN dataselect web service or FDSN station web service. For more information on the FDSN standard, please visit https://www.fdsn.org/webservices/. Below are key code to help you find the data:

Conditions of use
The Geomagnetic data available through this site are provided for your use (and for the use of colleagues collaborating on the same project) and are not for sale or distribution by you to third parties, without the express written permission of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). Any report or publication that makes use of these data should acknowledge Natural Resources Canada as the source. One copy of each report or publication should be sent to NRCan.
We ask that the data not be used for commercial purposes, nor in any project in which you, your organization, or your collaborators are in a commercial agreement with any third party. Commercial users should contact Geomagnetism-Info@NRCan-RNCan.gc.ca.
Your e-mail address, which you provide when requesting data, will be used so that NRCan may monitor the use of its data.
By accessing these data you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Disclaimer
Please note that there are spikes and offsets in some of the definitive data before 1992 which could have an impact on research results especially extreme event studies. It is advised to perform quality checks on the data and inter-comparisons between observatories to confirm all identified extreme events. It should also be noted that, over time, various magnetometer systems have been used to collect the data and the filtering to create the 1-minute data has changed. For more information about the data contact Geomagnetism-Info@NRCan-RNCan.gc.ca.
